It is with a heavy heart and a great sense of anticipation that we bid farewell to 70, Main Street, Leixlip.
We spent nearly 7 years at the studio starting in one room on the June Bank Holiday weekend 2015 and eventually taking over the whole upstairs. It has served us well. However time stands still for nobody and prior to the Pandemic we had started looking for a facility with more space in order to provide more rooms to provide classes, particularly at the ‘busy’ times of day but also somewhere that would give us more space to bring the group classes we do under one roof and begin fulfilling our role in a more Community oriented fashion.
Phase one of this is now under way. We have identified a suitable venue in Leixlip however it is not yet ready for us to move into so we have had to move into temporary accommodation (40 seconds walk from our ‘old’ studio) at 50 Buckley’s Lane, off Main Street, Leixlip.
As of this moment we do not have a move date from Buckley’s Lane however we hope that all things going to plan we will be in by Summer.
50, Buckley’s Lane is an old cottage which is nice and cosy and given its limitations we think we’ve done a reasonably good job of making it comfortable.
As David Bowie once said, “if you feel safe in the area you’re working, in you’re not in the right area!”
