In the video, Dawid performs Etude op.25 no.11, a solo piano piece composed by Frederic Chopin in1836. It was published in 1837 along with all the other op.25 Etudes. The first four bars that characterize the melody were added just before the publication at the advice of Charles A. Hoffman, Chopin’s Parisian roommate. This Etude was dedicated to the mistress of Franz Liszt. None of the nicknames of the Etudes were officially titled by Chopin himself. They create interesting pretext and encourage the imagination to fabricate epic works embodied by these studies. This Etude is considered to be one of the most difficult Chopin Etudes, flawlessly performed by Dawid.
