So we have finalised the invitees and willing participants for our inaugural Leap Sessions night this coming Tuesday. For us this is pretty much as perfect a lineup as we could wish to have with various levels of experience and a mix of both local and national performers.
First up we have Pearse McGloughlin who is launching his new single “The Antler” in two weeks time, ahead of the launch of his new album ‘The Soft Animals’. Pearse’ new album has a very distinct ambient feel. Here’s a TEASER.
Also on the bill, is Stephen Gormley of Moonlookson. Dublin based, he is currently recording his debut album with Moonlookson which he describes as folk/experimental/soul pop. Stephen has a unique vocal style which we would describe as both controlled with a fragile vibrato.
Next up we have local lads Declan Kenny (Leixlip). Declan is an experienced musician with some serious guitar skills. On Tuesday night Declan will take us through some of his own tunes he’s “dusted down” for the occasion. Declan played lead guitar with the one time “Leixlip’s Most Famous Band”, During Stone Down back in the 80s and 90s.
Odhran McInaircin makes his Leixlip debut. Celbridge native and BIMM Student Odhran is starting out on his music career. A former student of The Vocal Academy, Odhran vocally made huge strides during his time with us. He was one of a very lucky few to have earned his place at BIMM last September and we are delighted and see it fitting that Odhran will join us for our very first Sessions/Open Mic night.
WE HAVE SPOTS AVAILABLE for walk in artist on the night. So please get down early as we can only get performers on the bill on a strict first come, first served basis.
This will be a beautiful night!
